"On our second date my husband Mike took me to Boston, one of my favorite places. We spent the day eating and drinking our way through the city on a cold, blustery Saturday in February. We ducked into the Union Oyster House for some clam chowder (for me) and some oysters on the half shell (for him).
Now, our stories vary slightly from this point. My version has us standing at the bar waiting for a seat when the oyster shuckers ask us if we are married. If you've ever been to the Union Oyster house you can picture the young guy with the thick Boston accent and red hair egging us on. I think that I replied no, it’s only our second date. Mike thinks I yelled across the bar "ARE YOU KIDDING IT’S ONLY OUR SECOND DATE.” Alas, for the Republican and Liberal activist this wouldn't be our only divergent view of a story!
It was over a year later, when on a cold snowy weekend in Boston, we went into the same bar with the same loud-mouthed, red-headed Yankee behind the bar when my husband slipped a box across the bar to me. I was thrilled, to say the least, and when I stopped crying long enough to look at the ring I knew that John Kennedy had designed the most perfect ring that I could have imagined, with a few questions to my Mike as a guide.
I love my ring, and never take it off. It's simple, classically beautiful. It's me and Mike in a ring. When I met John he was fabulous, as advertised. Witty. Artistic. And Talented. Unbelievably talented. He was also slightly horrified that I had apparently not been taking my ring off often enough to clean it (oops). But he helped us pick out beautiful wedding bands, after cleaning my ring. Mike's ring suits his personality and history, and mine compliments my engagement ring. John even took his engraving machine out of storage, when I asked for him to engrave the inside. I thought of having him write "put this back on" in Mike's but went for the traditional MKV to ALC 10-21-05."

"I originally saw an exquisite one of kind J. Kennedy Design bracelet while on vacation. My wife and I could not get it off of our minds. I would call up and ask about the piece but never could complete the transaction. I followed the piece and spoke with Jewelers in the Caribbean and in Florida. Finally, I called Mr. Kennedy who surprisingly answered the phone. He knew exactly what I was looking for. Advised me a fair price. My wife was wearing the piece the next week.
